fishin' with mom

I never have any pictures of me and the boy's, I am always the one taking them. So I took advantage of Megan being here and had her capture some memories. Jaxon loves to cast the fishing pole and chase the worm on the other end. Someday he will get to go out and fish for real.

helping grandpa

Jaxon is so lucky to have a grandpa who likes to do everything with him. The other day we were over there for Megan's birthday dinner and my dad decided to mow the lawn. And of corse Jaxon has to be anywhere grandpa is so my dad let him help with the lawn. It was so cute to see him push that big mower with his ear protection on. Soon he will be old enough to mow our lawn.

my gerber baby

We decided to give Jace some baby food on Monday. Whenever I am feeding him and eating, he will latch off and look at me eating. So I figured that it was time to give him big boy food. I was a little scared to give it to him because he has eczema and they say to wait till 5-6 months and then give it to them. But beings he is 5 months old, I thought it would be ok. On Sunday night I realized I had a butternut squash that I needed to do something with, so I roasted it up, pureed it and it was ready to eat. He did really good with it. He didn't make a funny face of anything. I was surprised because when we gave Jaxon pea's, he made the funniest face. Jace was actually a little boring to watch eat for the first time. I think the next food I make him will be peas or something he wont like as much.

transformations

I told myself that I wasn't going to show anyone these pictures, but after I saw the difference, I got kind of excited.

The beginning of January I told myself I wanted to work off the extra baby weight I had on me, so I took a picture and told myself I was going to take one every month to see the transformation. I didn't take one in February, but I just took one this morning. Much to my surprise, I see some changes in my legs and mid section. I have been working really hard the last 3 weeks. My gym is having a biggest loser contest. I knew that I didn't have a huge amount of weight to lose, but signed up anyway. I knew it would keep me motivated if I signed up for something like that. So every Monday I go to my weigh in.I have only lost one pound, but I see that I have lost inches. Besides that I have been working out at least 5 day's a week, and I do some classes that they offer at the gym. I am feeling so much better about myself. I still have some work ahead of me, but just looking at the pictures will keep me motivated.

I am excited to get my body back. Now that we are done having kids I can work as hard as I want because I know I won't have to work hard to get baby weight off again.

BooBoo's and bandaid's

Nothing breaks your heart more than seeing your kid's bleeding and hurt. Last night Jaxon was playing around, and running with his drum when he tripped and fell onto the drum. He cut his gum's and his lip. It was so sad. He just popped up and started crying. I wanted so bad to cry with him, but knew I had to be strong for him. I was just holding him telling him it was going to be ok, and then I went to look at it and give it a kiss and saw that he was bleeding a lot. I was so afraid he was going to have a loose tooth or something bad. The poor guy had big ol' blood spots on his shirt. The good thing about kids is that they bounce right back. I gave him a kiss and he was good as new. He has a little bit of a fat lip, but it looks cute on him. The sad part is that, there will be many more boo boos to come.
