I have always been an athletic person. I ran track in Jr. high and high school and cross country in high school. I love to run, but only really run on a tread mill. It is MUCH diffrent running outside. But after watching the contestants from the Biggest Loser run a marathon last week, my sister and I became completely motivated to run a half marathon. Megan and I decided that in a week we will start to train for our half marathon, but I wanted to get used to running outside before we started. So my tackle it Tuesday was to start my outdoor running.
My original plan for today was to go to the gym do some weight training and then go for a run. But Jay had to work overtime and had to change my plans. So after eating dinner I decided to lace up the ol' shoes and head out. My goal was to do 1/2 hour/3 miles. To my suprise I felt so good the whole time I was out there I didn't stop once. When I got home I had been out there for 40 min. After drinking some water I got in the car to see how far I had gone. And again to my suprise I went 4 miles. That is a whole mile more that I had planned. I am so proud of myself. So now I just have to stay motivated and run every day. But I have tackled the first day and that is usually he hard part.

Nice work! That's incredible that you went a hole mile more than you thought! Rachael Brinker just got down with a triathalon, and has so inspired me (from when we were down there visiting in January) to want to do something like that! I've never been good at running... the whole asthma thing kinda gets in my way.
