NO PULL UP OR PANTS!!!!

Jaxon has always not liked to have his underwear and pants on, he is like his aunt Meggie when she was little. Jaxon also likes to fall asleep on the floor by his door and I go in and put him back in bed when he is asleep. Well last night when I went to put him back into bed I was welcomed by his pull up and his pj pants. I just stopped where I was and laughed to myself. So then I went to his bed and pulled back his covers and there he was, nothing on the bottom half. It was so funny. When I went to put them back on him he was so asleep he didn't even wake up. And once again I had to capture it so he can look back and remember all the silly things he did as a kid. Every day he keeps us laughing with what he will come up with. It sure makes it a lot easier to deal with him in his terrible two's when he adds a little humor to our day.

Molly

Last Christmas Jaxon got a stuffed dog named Molly. For the first year he would play with it a little bit. Then we left her at church and a few months later I found her. And now Jaxon can't sleep without her. She is his favorite stuffed animal. Every night when I tuck him into bed I ask him if he wants her and he softly says "yah" and he cuddles with her. It is the cutest thing ever. So one night when I went to check on him before I went to bed, he was cuddling with her so cute I just had to take a picture of them together. I am sure he will love to look back at the picture when he is older. HEHEH!

Being a mom of two

IBefore I got pregnant with Jace, my friend Kalie shared some stories about how hard it is to have two kid's. So when I found out I was pregnant, I was so excited, but then in the next second, I was scared out of my mind. I thought "what am I going to do with two kids." Well life wasn't to bad with two kids until a month or so ago. Before Jace would just sleep and Jaxon could play with his mommy and daddy. But the older Jace is getting the harder and harder it is. Jace is demanding more of my time and so is Jaxon. Don't get me wrong, I still love being a mom of two wonderful boy's, but it is really really hard. As much as Jaxon loves his brother, he is starting to "hit the brother" as Jaxon likes to call it. The other day my dad was over and he was playing with Jaxon and then he said "let's go see Jace" well Jaxon didn't like that. He had on his rain boots and he kicked Jace in the head. My dad had to scold him. Poor Jaxon's heart was just broken. But he is getting jeallous of other people playing with Jace and not him. Jace likes to be heald, and Jaxon is wanting to play motor boat, duck-duck goose (goof ball as Jax calls it) and ring around the posey. It is a little hard to tend to both kids by yourself. Not to mention my husband works 2pm-10pm. So he isn't home most of the day and I am the one left to entertain the two of them. I am hoping that it will get easier after a while, because there are nights where I just want to pull my hair out. But anyway, I think this just ended up to be more of a vent session, but it got it off my chest.

Jax and his boots

For Jaxon's second birthday we got him some rain boots and a rain coat. At first he hated to wear the boots. They are to big, and he had a hard time walking in them. I would put them on him every day to get him used to wearing them and he would just plop on the floor because he couldn't walk in them. It was the funniest thing. But I was bound and determined to get him used to them, because I love it when little boy's wear their rain boots or cowboy boots everywhere. So after a little time, he got used to them and now he LOVES them. He was out side with Jay the other day and there was a mud puddle at the end of our driveway and he just started splashing in it. It was so cute.

Christmas with the Minton family

Part of our family tradition we are starting is on Christmas Eve we are going to make sugar cookies. Jaxon had fun for a while, but he is still too young and his attention span isn't that long. But it was fun to watch him try to cut out all the cookies, and try to frost them. He mostly ate the dough and frosting. Next year he should be better at it and last a little bit longer.
This was Jace's first Christmas. Even though he didn't do much, I still wanted to get some memories on camera. Here he is with some of his presents. It is hard to buy for a 2 month old. So he didn't get much from us. Next year he will have a better Christmas.

Jaxon LOVES it when I vacuum. So Jay and I decided to get him a vacuum for Christmas. It was so much fun to watch him open all his "priz" as he calls m. He loved everything hgot. We also got him a fish for his fish tank. We asked him what he wantedto name him he said "mouth". So the newest addition to our family is Mouth the fish.

Christmas Castle

Durring the power outage we had to find things to do. So Jay decided to make Jaxon a fort made out of all the blankets in the house. They named it Christmas Castle. It was really big, and it even had a marine and a tiger to stand guard at the door.

Arctic Blast

On the morning of Dec 13th we woke up to the beginning of a snow storm. Little did we know it would last for over a week. We haven't had this much snow if about 40 years. The last time I measured we had a little over 6 inches. The snow was cool, but it put a lot of stress on us to get all of our Christmas stuff done

There was so much snow on our cars that we couldn't really get in unless we stood outside and scraped all the snow and ice off the car.

The snow plow had to come and plow our street. It was crazy to see all the piles of snow on the side of the road. It reminded me of going over the pass. It sure makes a big mess though.
